This is not an image of Big Tree. That would be impossible to compose without distortion. Instead this is the trail to Big Tree, a path my daughter and I walked, taking a break from our motorcycles along our Pacific Northwest Tour. I created this frame because of its light and shadow, its colors, lines, and texture, and its shift in how we keep time. Walking along trees that have been around a thousand years makes you look at a second hand much differently.

My photography printed on canvas creates an heirloom piece with a surface quality that bounces light without disturbing the artwork’s contrast, color saturation and texture. I’ve chosen this print specifically for this process, enlarged to 36X24. The image is printed using fade-proof latex inks to preserve color accuracy and is mounted on a sturdy three-quarter inch frame with hanging hardware.
