Over the miles on my motorcycle I had a constant debate between the the ride and the photography. I’d pass by something – a landscape, a structure – and debate whether I should take the time to stop and record it or keep moving down the road. On a return ride from Big Sur to Salt Lake City, I took the Sonora Pass over the Sierras with the Yosemite Valley as this route’s gateway and I felt if I did not stop and crelease this shutter, I’d be doing my craft and film plane a disservice.

My photography printed on canvas creates an heirloom piece with a surface quality that bounces light without disturbing the artwork’s contrast, color saturation and texture. I’ve chosen this print specifically for this process, enlarged to 36X24. The image is printed using fade-proof latex inks to preserve color accuracy and is mounted on a sturdy three-quarter inch frame with hanging hardware.
